- Florida Brass is alive and healthy. We are getting 24 to 28 horns at rehearsals and gigs. We have another 10 maybe 12 more people that for various reasons have not showed.
- Thomas Ivey, soprano----school and work---said he'll be back.
- Suzie, soprano---Had some health issues---she's back.
- Dick Dickson, bari---re-accruing back issues---will be back.
- The Ancient One, bari--- shoulder issues, can't hold up the horn.
- Jessie, bari---school and work---will be back.
- Bobby Burke, soprano---work.
- James, bari---I wish I knew, he does not communicate with us.
- Kelly, mello---school
- Louie, bari---work.---will be back.
- Mike, mello---communication problems. Mike has no computer.
- Kelly's friend, soprano---no communication.
- Bruce Mason---health issues.
- I publish this list not to embarrass anyone but to let the corps know what's going on. I respect all these people and the reasons why they are not attending. Remember we have a goal of 40 horns and a larger drum line. We have a goal to play at the DCA Spectacular in Annapolis, we have not forgotten these goals but we will not attend with less then 40 horns.
- James said he was bringing another contra player.
- Karl has been working on a contra and some soprano players.
- We have a contra player that played with Hawthorn (Dick Burns's friend).
- Greg said he has some horn players interested.
- We have a couple of new drummers.
- JR got a note from one of our old mello players wanting to come back.
So, we are not dead in the water, we are growing, Dick Burns is introducing new songs to add to our repertoire, the horn line is playing better then ever. Life is good in Florida Brass. It's time to start recruiting again. - Rehearsal on Feb 12th and 26th
- Parade on March 10th
- Dues are due Feb. 26th
Oh! BTW, the fundraiser was a success, we had lots of fun, food and anxiety but best of all they loved us and asked us to do it again. WE SOUNDED GREAT. The corps made $457. That's pretty good for the first time. It will be bigger. THANKS! Marty
